Community Involvement

December is a month ripe with traditions. From sending cards and baking cookies to Elf on a Shelf, it’s a season for coming together as communities and families.

Renewable energy advocates in Wisconsin host an annual bike tour between several of the state’s leading renewable energy installations.

Only 2.5% of Earth’s water is fresh. When accessibility and cleanliness are factored in, it becomes clear that there truly is a clean water scarcity.

In honor of Earth Day 2019, Symbiont volunteers gathered together on Saturday, April 27 for the Milwaukee River Spring Cleanup at Hubbard Park. 

The Urban Ecology Center’s vision is “to inspire generations to build environmental curiosity, understanding, and respect. [They] restore hope and heal our urban natural world, neighborhood by neighborhood.”   

At Symbiont, many of our services preserve the environment. 

Our link to Habitat for Humanity goes back to 2003, when we supported them in assessing an industrial warehouse for remodeling into their Milwaukee office.  With Symbiont Construction playing a increasing role in our design-build work across the nation, our expertise naturally aligns with Habitat

Our second year donating toys and funds to the Ronald McDonald House of Milwaukee charity drive brought amazing results!

Students Without Mothers (SWM) is a non-profit dedicated to helping high school students without mothers by empowering them to continue their education.  

The holiday season is at our doorstep, and we’re getting in the spirit.

Did you know that FIRST Robotics starts competitions and STEM engagement as early as kindergarten?

Symbiont is proud to support the American Red Cross and its efforts to heal Nepal after the devastating earthquake.

FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) strives towards showing students of all ages that science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) is a fun and rewarding path towards a bright future.

In September, Symbiont employees helped bring awareness to childhood cancer by supporting “Gold in September,” an organization campaigning to fight childhood cancer. Symbiont chose a day to wear as much gold as possible and raise funds to donate to this worthy organization.

Symbiont participated in "Paint the Town Purple" from July 15th to 19th. "Paint the Town Purple" helps the American Cancer Society in supporting Relay For Life. So far, the American Cancer Society has raised $57,000...

Symbiont is pleased to participate in the Toys for Tots program, sponsored by the United States Marines. Toys are collected and distributed to less fortunate children in the community.

Symbiont sponsored a team for the Hank Aaron State Trail 5K Run/Walk. Proceeds from the Run/Walk benefit a variety of initiatives of The Friends of Hank Aaron State Trail.

Symbiont contributed a monetary donation to the WWII Honor Flight Program.

Symbiont staff was involved with transforming a vacant lot (Amaranth Bakery) into a community area. This was a collaborative project with Milwaukee community members, MSOE, and UWM students.
